Got my 1st one yesterday afternoon from the Nightingale Hospital, Washington. Was very quiet, but well organised and staff were excellent.

They gave me the AZ vaccine, and said they were expecting to receive Moderna doses from today.

Only side effect so far is a mild headache. Hoping that is it.

Announced today 25 % of Covid deaths had no relation to Covid so are wiped off. Seem to remember mentioning that but got called all the names under the sun because a certain poster didn’t agree with me, at least I won’t have to worry about that anymore.

48 hours after 1st dose of AZ vaccine. Mild headache and upset stomach, so really happy with that.

The amount of vaccine side effects are almost on par with the vast amount of symptoms that the virus creates, it's quite fascinating as to how it effects so many in so many different ways. I'd love to know why, for example, why one 40 year old suffers severe symptoms and another doesn't. Is it what your body has been exposed to in the past, physical fitness or what. I read an article that was basically saying that smokers and druggies were statistically less likely to end up in hospital with virus symptoms as opposed to those who don't indulge in either, fascinating stuff TBH.

We have spent the last year amazed at the fact that the people where we live who have been in and out of each others houses, in the knowledge that others they don't know also visit those properties, basically carrying on as normal , have not passed it between them, and jokingly we decide that it's because they all smoke like chimneys and enjoy various drink levels. ( also with the possibility that the virus is scared that it catches something off them)

I am actually hoping for a different second jab, that way I may be able to pick up DAB as well as VHF.

Kind of expecting this after reading quite heavily around the subject.

But I don't blame anyone here. They were dammed either way, and the so called " table" of figures we see, which is bound to be misleading, is a snapshot in time.
We'll perhaps all know more in a year or two when this virus is less of a threat and the excess deaths from all countries are known and understood, though these are not simply stats either. But by and large, I'll remain sure that best efforts have been made by all involved everywhere.

Well if that doesn't do it, you can always get a germanium diode and a cat's whisker fitted !

Good old Mary Jane might be helping, tests show it reduces cytokine production and lung inflammation. Also read that it hinders the ability of the protein spike of the corona virus to get a grip of the cell walls of the lungs.

The Telegraph was reporting that but what they didn't tell us was it only actually referred to one weeks data. Typical tabloid with misleading headlines

I can remember it got mentioned a few times last year, doubt the government will be endorsing everyone to spark up a fat one though lol. Probably a lot less harmful than the pop TBH.

    Edit:
They were giving joints for jabs at the pharmacies in California.

Well a real relief to know only 100K people died. Why did we bother.....

Not having a go at the "messengers" here, but this is a stupid nit-pick even if applied to all the stats over the whole period. (Of course there are also deaths that were not attributed to Covid, but may have been caused by it.).

Smokers and druggies eh? Any idea how long you have to have been smoking and taking drugs for in order to improve your Covid chances? Cos if you can start late I might go and smoke some crack until I finally get a vaccination date!
