Don’t know why we did it today, there should have been no need against lowly opposition, we had very poor shape today.
For those who felt Pablo had an okay game, I’ve just read nobody gave the ball away more than he did, Pablo gave the ball away 31 times.
Crosby, stills,Nash & young....just been reformed...as histon,Sutton,Newport & Crawley on big deal with embarrassment records.....major tour planned taking in all lower league grounds
So was it 31 out of 32 or 31 out of 320? These numbers are used by the clickbait mob to make an article & it's deliberate. They pick the highest number to create unrest. Unfairly. Let's say, for example, that Shacks gave the ball away 10 times. That number makes it look like he was much better than Pablo. BUT, what if his numbers were only 10/20, & Pablo was 31/100 - that would mean 31% given away by Pablo, yet it's 50% for Shacks. Means Shacks is the worst 'loser', percentage-wise. But why report that when you can use a clickbait number on its own? Another, again for example, might be Davis not giving the ball away at all - but then you find that all he did was pass safely sideways for the whole match, when Pablo was trying to carve opportunities with risky passes. Personally, I can be very forgiving of a player regularly losing the ball if the flip side is that opportunities can come from that risk-taking.
Exactly this. Pablo has probably given the ball away more often than any other player in all 5 seasons he has been here. He'd definitely be up there. Another stat is that Pablo has more assists every season than anybody else in his 5 seasons and he's probably close as a goalscorer too. I don't mind giving the ball away trying to open teams up.
Whilst I agree with you WJ, and also think after such an abysmal performance, why single out any one player, the whole team failed today. Pablo % of completed passes was the worst in our whole team today at 65%, with Harrison next lowest at 76%. Pablo however did attempt to make 76 passes, second only to Philips who attempted 96. Next highest after those 2 was Allioski with 50 attempted passes. That also means that Pablo completed 49 of his attempted 76 passes, failing to find one of his team mates on 27 occasions. Thus Pablo completed more passes than any other player apart from Philips and Allioski even attempted. Here’s my take on today I’m gutted I only watched the second half , although in all seriousness I can’t believe Leeds took Crawley too lightly by playing a load of untried kids. Earlier this season Leeds under 21’s were embarrassed by lower league sides in the FA Trophy so to do the same in the FA Cup is nothing short of criminal, bad call from Bielsa.
Well that was a shocking performance. Do our U23s actually play and train the same way as the 1st team? The whole team looked like square pegs trying to fit in round holes.
Still in Leeds fella, retired now. Though after that shambolic performance I'm thinking about getting my boots out.
The FA Cup is full of memories for me too. I was a Wembley in 1972 to see us win the centenary FA Cup final. I was also there the year after to see us lose to Sunderland, probably the worst day in my life up to that point. But being in the EPL is WAY more important than any cup. Sorry but just as last year, the FA Cup (like the EFL Cup) is just a distraction we absolutely don't need.
Most interesting article & photo. The photo says it all, & I love the 'imagine Berra' statement. Kiko would have been shredded. https://motleedsnews.com/fans-view/...-as-player-image-emerges-from-crawley-defeat/
