He doesn't need to be. Its an insinuation. Armstrong shouldn't have been on the bike. Why do you think Rangers shouldn't be punished the same way as other clubs have been? Adding in the fact that what Rangers did was deliberate.
And what about that Neil Armstrong? surely that **** lied and cheated. Should be stripped of his fake moon rocks, the bassa Or did he die too?
Rangers have been punished, they were fined £250k, previous prize money not given to NewCo, transfer fees swallowed up by SPFL, they went bust, lost £50m of playing talent (subjective) got sent to the 4th tier, lost up to £100m in revenue, got raped by a multitude of spivs and probably handed our rivals 10IAR+ Genuinely, if the shoe was on the other foot, there is no way I'd want to see titles stripped for this EBT thing. RFC2012 got their comeuppance for corporate mismanagement big time.
Rangers didn't cheat or lie. They were retrospectively told that their staff should've paid tax on earnings. Unfortunately, that Company is no more. IF you are saying that the disclosure of 'side-letters' would've meant that Bert Konterman wouldn't have scored vs Celtic at Hampden then that's probably not true and unprovable. The argument that Rangers wouldn't have afforded RdB or Nacho Novo is again open to discussion, but we are talking about the egomaniac SDM who fked us with an £80m debt... and who was the major beneficiary of the EBT scheme both personally and for his business. gbtp
Celtic players were also part of a scheme to avoid paying tax on their earnings during their time at Parkhead, albeit not officially sanctioned by the Club's holding company. Sutton, Hartson, Rab Douglas all declared bankrupt after HMRC came after them... does that mean that the Club should be stripped of honours as they didn't pay tax?
Rangers were not punished like every other club who have registered players incorrectly or hid from the tax man. They got a meaningless fine. Everything else is Sevco related or a consequence of Rangers actions. You poof
Irrelevant. Player registration is the issue. Field improperly registered player. Game is awarded as 0-3 to the opponent. If Sutton, Hartson and Douglas were improperly registered then I would expect no less. Thems the rules.
So it's got nothing to do with tax now, it is because some of the players had a letter saying that if HMRC came after them for the tax they ought to be paying, RFC though Murray would pay the tax?
Rangers were punished, either by "death" if you drink from puddles, or by getting thrown out the league and forced to play in Div 3 with Kevin Kyle and Ian Black. As I said - ICAGAILWJ (I'm Catholic and Gay and I Love Wee Jay)
At no point have I said it has anything to do with tax. The SPL enquiry stated players were improperly registered. The rules on the sanctions for fielding improperly registered players are unambiguous. Yet, they were not applied.
I didn't say you did but most if not all your fellow taigs have said that because the SC ruled against RFC2012, titles should be stripped, hence why all the BHEASTS are talking about it again. Again, the cowards within the CFC support think if they are not good enough on the pitch, find another way to win retrospectively. "Oh, we would've won but they had a letter"
Usual, obscure, Pontius Pilate-inspired ****e from the SPFL (arseholes, Doncaster, Topping and McKenzie ... where is a Halifax Gibbet when you need one?) - no wonder Lawwell got out ... lets hope the SFA has something better to offer. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/...s/rangers-ebt-fallout-explained-spfl-10876918
