The hunt for Europe resumes tonight following a brief weekend blip. Nothing more than a bump in the road that we draw a blue line under and trundle on. The Super Saints are just 6 points off a European place, leaving us fans dreaming of nights like Inter Milan at home. Having seen off major European rivals in Chelsea, Tottenham & Leicester in our recent resurgence, it's the turn of Crystal Palace to fall on our sword as we push towards Thursday night football once again. Crystal Palaces favourite opposition player, James Ward-Prowse is sure to get a heroes welcome at Selhurst Park. It's very likely that one of his set pieces set up another goal en route to a Saints victory in the hunt for European football again. Europe .... be ready. The Saints are marching their way towards you. It continues here. COYR!!!!
2-1 Saints, Ings to return to scoring ways and Redders. We'll go 2-0 up, let one in with about 20 to go and not panic. Demons laid to rest.
I don't know the stats, but since our return to the PL, I'd be surprised if there's an away ground where we've picked up more points at than Selhurst Park. Just off the top of my head, I can think of victories in each of the past two seasons, plus the win a few years back which finished Warnock off.
Tuesday 21st January 2020 19:30 (7:30 p.m.) Crystal Palace v Southampton Referee: Andre Marriner. Assistants: Scott Ledger, Mark Scholes. Fourth official: Tim Robinson. VAR: Jonathan Moss. Assistant VAR: Eddie Smart.
Yes but the last time Marriner was in the middle for a Saints game was the game that must not be named.
Team picks itself Not a lot to discuss on that We need a super-sub performance from Sophie or Moussa to stake a claim for a starting place and keep the pressure on those starting to keep performing well Not going. I’ll be watching Weymouth v Verwood in The Dorset Cup Semi Final #RealFootball
good that we dont have to dwell on might have been against Wolves for too long! But the stakes are raised. Do we get to be really happy again or feel worse !!! Lol I also am very much wanting to beat Spurs in the FA Cup too so a win tomorrow will help get the confidence back up for that too
Do you go to watch any of those sides regularly mate? I'm gonna go give Sholing a go in the next couple of months. Can't complain at 8 quid.
Bednarek out of this game with an Achilles injury. I'd go with either Yoshida/Danso to pair with Stephens.
Yoshida-Stephens has been a decent, reliable CB partnership before. Vestegaard up against Zaha doesn't bear thinking about.
