Just watching the one show (I know !) and Alex Jones just said all you need on them fish and chips is curry sauce.

    WTF

If you remember on Gavin and Stacey. Smithy said " what is it with the Welsh with curry on chips it's like northerners and gravy "

I don't eat fish....so get a pie with my chips from the chippy....but would happily put curry sauce, gravy or beans all over it. After the chips spice of course. Chip spice ****ing rules, and nofuckingwhere in Sheffield does it. Bastards.

The only wet that should touch fish and chips is Vinegar.

What's the point of having perfect crisp batter, deep fried in beef dripping, if your gonna soggy it up with some sauce.

Might as well just have steamed fish if you're doing that.

    Soggy chips aren't much better.

And before anyone says it, mushy peas should only come in a separate pot.

    Mushy peas can GTF

Have a good stock and supply of German curry ketchup and German mayo.

Curry sauce and mayo on chips, mayo on fish.

    Sorted.

Why spoil the delicate beautiful taste of fish with curry sauce? I love curry sauce on chips but not the sweet type curry sauce sometimes with raisins in.
Its the same as people who get served a painstakingly cooked tasty meal only to blather it with tomato sauce or brown sauce.
Speaking as a kid who had to put up with brown sauce sandwiches for tea some days due to poverty. Or if we were lucky it was jam sandwiches, and Ive just remembered now we used to get served up sugar sandwiches .......

Usually no, but have been known to have curry with me fish and chips, leave it in the pot, same with peas, though and make a small fish and batter stew at the end for a fantastic finish.
