Catching up on recent news really.

Has Osvaldo turned up to training since the players returned for pre-season?

He didn't make the Italy squad for the World Cup so surely he should've been back with everyone else last week?

Can someone clarify his/the clubs position.

    Thanks!

He was due back last week but his agent contacted the club t say he was ill and unable to attend.

Koeman said during his press conference on Friday that he will be back this weekend and will train on his own (a week behind on fitness levels) while the rest of the squad go on a summer training camp to Belgium. also said he is contracted to the club and that they will speak to him during the week

Would be shocked if he stayed, he was found out in the EPL, bit like Gaston he likes to dwell with the ball which is fine in Italy but not for the EPL. Even if we take a small hit for him, his goal against City was worth the price

Found out in the Prem? It's not his ability that has been found out.

I think benditlikebanana has a point, Osvaldo has undoubted skill and talent, but he does dwell on the ball and get caught. Unlike Gaston who has similar traits, he hasn't got the intelligence to adopt his game, he probably feels everyone else should modify their game to suit him?

He didn't give himself time to adapt to our game.

It's not just dwelling on the ball. It's the running into traffic and then trying the most speculative shot when there are other players who have got into good positions to receive the ball. He's so selfish, I think of him as the Anti-Lambert.

Osvaldo came in with a big reputation and obviously felt he had to score goals to justify it, which I think made him a bit selfish. He had obvious ability but he tried too hard to score goals himself and didn't give himself time to adapt.

Morgan Schneiderlin done an interview last season, and said the exact same thing.

Robert Pirez was awful for his first season at Arsenal; turned out to be quality.

I thought that, but wasn't quite sure. Neither head butted a team though!

I want him gone asap! Would be happy to get 10m for him, get him off the wages.

In fact I would rather send him to a **** club, in a **** country, for 8m. Give him a choice of that or rotting in the reserves.
