Supersub indeed. If he can stay fit then he's the perfect option from the bench.

I reckon his stint at WBA as told him he's not going to get anything better and this is his only chance of possibly winning something now.

Probably hurt to see us get to the champions league final and think he could have helped.

Sturridge, as you all probably know, is a class player. The only thing that has hindered him in the past, again as you probably know, is his injury record including his “need” to be 100% fit before he would play. Think as he gets on then the second of those two issues may become less of a factor as he realises that the time he has in football is moving on without him.

Hope I'm wrong but I doubt he'll make the end of October before being out injured. And that's me being very optimistic!

you all.do know he has no contract next July and will do a Harry Jewell this season.

let me be clear I will wish him.well on a free to anywhere this summer.... we would be mad to offer him anything.....

and that's me thinking he could well get 15-20 goals at the rate he is going for us.

imo next year if he's on 2 or 3 years somewhere he will be a sick note all.over again

If he's going to accept pay as you play contract after his contract expires nice to offer him a contract.

We need a squad. The quality he has is well worth keeping as a squad member, imo. The issue is whether or not he can avoid injury.

If we have to keep him as a squad player he have to take 'wage cut'. I am sure he is not going to like it.

Looks that way. His career was falling fast and that probably gave him an insight to his future

IMO if he gets 15 goals form bench for us and we win something then he will have his pick of clubs and klopp will wish him well ;)

The issue is we obviously had zero faith in him as we kepts both origi and solanke and one of them would have gone at least on loan has we a reliable no 9 back up for firmino.... so right now we do and both are going to become worthless to us and one will prob get loaned in January.

Origi has had chances. More than Solanke. No confidence in either but Solanke deserves more time.

they have but not this season. IMO (just my opinion) one or both were held onto as we couldn't shift sturridge and ings was going so we thought... hmm we will looks fools if this lad breaks down in august again.

My point would be how can you plan a squad around that kind of record?

I'd rather be sitting looking at the pair than having no option though..... but i did expect late july that shaqiri might be the new false 9. with solanke as the donkey ball option.

Maybe origi was only kept cos we couldn't get silly money... but klopp was said to be impressed by his training.
