There's a lot of rumours going around on social media that we're after David Nugent. I personally can't see any truth in this as there's not usually a lot of substantial evidence to support this with it being Christmas Eve. If true though I think he would be a good signing for us and would be a good fit.
He would be handy for varmint control and would likely bag us a few goals too, compared to the duds we currently have on staff:-
He is 31 now though, so not a long term fix. But I guess we need someone to get us out of the current predicament.
A natural goal scoring talent, not as prolific as Charlie, about 1 in 3, versus 1 in 2 for Charlie, from the start of his footballing career - we don't have one of those types on our books right now. Bit of a goal drought currently at Boro (8 in 42 games). even a loan till the end of the season would be good. New striker in to shake up what we already have, plus an experienced championship player
unfortunately hes finished a stupid buy sell smithies and buy bogle, only bogle can save us we need four million pound of striker to re build our club
Until Holloway picks a midfield capable of creating chances I fear it would be pointless. Still he's much better than what we have.
If Chelsea don't want to play Michy Batshuayi, maybe they will loan him to us till end of the season. He gets first team football, plus they only have to drive a short distance to Loftus Road to see him in action.
Difficult one. With everyone fit I think I'd go Luongo and Borysiuk behind Shodipo, Chery and Wzolek. Polter up top. I think those two in the middle should be first choice and then there are games where we might want to go with two up front so maybe Chery misses out or go more defensive so Cousins comes in to a midfield three. I like Chery but there's only one formation he can play in properly. I also wouldn't be against playing Washington wide instead of Wzolek while he gets used to the league/country. We've got loads of options which don't require playing a defender in midfield or a player who can't run.
It's been a while since Chelsea did us any favours with players - Mancienne? Even with JFH in charge and rumours flying round about their fringe players nothing happened. It could be that despite the chasm in class between the sides Abramovitch still considers us a threat!
