I think '****ed up' is the modern terminology.

And certainly more apt more most of the misfits who populate this board!

Dogs are great company. Having a relative who suffers quite badly with depression, I agree that the last thing you want is to be around a gym full of posing twats. Exercise is good when you feel up too it though.

You seem how many birds are in gyms?

That'll put a grin on most people's faces!

My old gym hot some hot ones. The one I go to now, beside a couple of cookie-cutter blondes, are all fat and ugly. (Only $10 a month, apparently you need to pay more for hot girls to attend)

    Really?

Mine is quite cheap and there are a lot of fit ones.

Mainly because there are a lot of eastern Europeans living around my area and their woman are very tidy as a rule.

So its mostly their woman and the odd English one.

A few munters mixed in there too but, hey, they're working on it!

Poorer people here tend to be the fattest. The gym is in a not very nice side of town. The last gym I had was closer but also 3 times the price. I had a few injuries the last year of my contract and could almost never go. Didn't want to sign up for that again.

    New gym has no contract.

Mine also has a revolving contract.

It is direct debit but I can cancel at any time and not be hit by a fee.

I suppose most of the poorer ones are fatter because **** food is generally a lot cheaper unfortunately.

My dad died at 48 , my mom died at 54 .... on my 55 birthday , somehow I felt guilty for living longer and went into quite a deep depression . I slowly pulled out of it over a few years , hard times .... the hardest in my life .

I've been crying a lot recently, I don't know why, I've been feeling depressed a lot, It's got nothing to do with football, I just don't know why I get upset so much nowadays.

We all have down days mate....get your mind distracted if you can...get out...flirt with some women...treat yourself to something. If that doesn't work and you are still on a downer then be honest with yourself, is it someone bothering you? Are you questioning your own life and how happy you are in it? Or is it just medication etc(if you are on it)

    Just keep on talking brother

Chin up @Matth_2014 lots of banter in here but you're a good guy and can spout off on here if you're down.

Sometimes the cause of the depression is deep rooted, sometimes it's a chemical imbalance.

The good thing is you've recognised it, and are able to talk about it, those are massive steps some don't make, so well done for those.

I'd suggest getting expert help. Make an appointment at your doctors, tell them what's going on, and how you're feeling, and ask about counselling.

It's not easy to see when you're in it, but there is a better world at the other end of the journey you're on. Stick with it, and keep talking. <ok>
