nick pope and ruben bover "boy" izqueirdo

very pleased by the spirit of these two acquisitions, although cant comment on the two individuals. but does really smack of the right motives, signing players to further develop. Pope at least has already played in the first team at Bury dispite his tender years. look at the frigging size of him next to ben roberts on the OS as well...flipping giant

Ruben i know nothing about...anyone on ere actually seen him play?

Am I right in thinking that we no longer have a reserve team ?

i think they're development players and not reserves cos we dont have a reserve team and by calling them this we keep acadamy status.

I'm still a bit miffed that we got rid of Worner in place of Pope (who hasn't even played for the real League side Bury?)

Apparently Worner has joined Aldershot - good luck to him

mmmm OS is saying he has made several appearances for Bury as a 16 yr old. thats some going for a GK.

in the end, if he can develop, he has several advantages to ross worner. firstly, he can touch the bar.

Don't think this is the League Bury .. it's Bury Town who are non league ... though still a great accomplishment never the less

He will only make the bench if we sell Elliott - and if that happens I'm not sure we can get away with 2 kids plus Sullivan so would expect a reserve keeper to be brought in

The mistake last season was having a rookie Worner as No 2 keeper, especially as Elliott does seem to have his fair share of injuries compared with say Deano or Bolder. Pope is No 3, so unlikely to play in the 1st team much this season.

DVDDD, Elliott is pretty injury prone so I expect to see Sullivan playing in goal if Elliott gets injured, and with either Gough or Pope on the bench.

Well if that's the case then I definitely think we will need to bring in another keeper regardless of whether or not Elliott goes

If either Elliot or Sullivan got injured we would bring in a loan keeper, we are L1 and no L1 Club has 3 first team keepers.

agreed but either was Gough and Pope would not be expected to sit on the bench until Elliott got fit again ... or would they ??

Gough was on the bench for at least one game last season.

Billy, wasn't that because Robbie injured himself on Friday afternoon so no time for a loan?

Might also have had something to do with the fact that our season was finished, nothing at stake.
