Match Day Thread Ding Dong Chairboys v Cov 29th December 19

The Chairboys go into their 3rd game of the Festive Season having lost their last six festive games but now we return to Adams Park and we are pretty formidable at our house and we entertain Cov in our last game of 2019 still merrily on a high but we have a abysmal record against the team that originated from the home of Scar music having never beaten them in the league and our overall record reads lost 8 won one and that was in the League Cup when having lost the first leg 3-0 we put on a good show to win at AP 4-2 going our 5-4 on agg.
Gaz will welcome back Bayo to strengthen his squad and will be hopeful Jack Grimmer will return Gape looks likely to be missing for the next two weeks along with Thompson who went off early on Boxing Day and I would be surprised if Charles starts but that one's up to him Fred is closing in on a return.
I will be at AP for this one but I will be traveling on my own due to the others not realising the game was on a Sunday and I will be hoping our wobble will come to an end and the lads can get the result we crave

 

We really could have done with Gape, Charles and Bayo for all these matches. And it's about time Fred returned.. Can't see us beating Coventry without Gape and Charles in defence but we can hope. 3 losses in a row would not be good for morale. I did predict losing 4 in a row and I hope I am proved to be wrong

 

Another game watching on iFollow drinking cider but hopefully a better result.

I totally forgot about Parker. Our team does seem very striker happy, however our top scorer is JJ.

That 1st half was utter bollocks! We miss Grimmer, Charles and a much needed Fred. Next month we need a new striker as we'll lose Kashket when he gets banned for betting on games the feckin' idiot and a back up defender even if he's on loan. Changes needed at the start of the 2nd half or we're f*cked

 

As I was saying. **** defence without Gape and Charles. And our strike force is beginning to look weak. I don't think Kashkett is up to L1 standard and I'm not sure about the others. We ned to strengthen the squad in Jan otherwise we could be struggling to get in the play offs

The most worrying thing is not just the number of passes being so low but the accuracy rate is shocking. And with our opponents' passing accuracy over 90% it tells me a lot

We are getting hammered, have now lost three on the trot, somebody at WWFC certainly do not like Christmas, on the bright side if you can call it that we are still 5pts clear

 

At least yet again results are going away but our goal difference has so far in the last 3 games taken a hit of 6

 

We have been found out they are running rings around us maybe the fact they had boxing day off has helped them as we look knackered and out classed we miss Gape and Grimmer badly

 

I expected to lose these games so the losing doesn't bother me. What bothers me, and it won't change unless we strengthen the squad, is the passing success rates of us and our opponents. It's a recipe for losing more games. Our odds will be drifting like a barge
