Tonight we had salmon with a sweet chilli dressing, gently flaked and stirred into tagliatelli, with a touch of creme fraiche.... Nowt to drink with it as we'd already finished off a bottle of port pre dinner whilst watching the sun set....
Another Mexican style feast of sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, chilli, chipotle, sausages with various dips. No booze on the weekdays, so acceptable Brooklyn lager 0.4% being swigged.
Baked potato with yesterdays leftover beef, pickles and a beetroot salad along with a glass of rioja.
Sorry late to this thread. Not sure I have ever eaten so well as in the last week or so Last night Fiery beef:- Slow cooker, beef, onions, red kidney beans, balsamic vinegar, chillies and wild rice (we couldn't get rice in Tescos last week....all they had was wild rice and ?red rice. Keeping the red rice for another day. It was really delicious...sort of szechaun Chinese taste Tonight it is roasted cauliflower steak in fennel and cumin , on a bed of spicy re-fried beans

Proper homemade spaghetti Bolognese, the Bolognese sauce left to simmer for ages with a belt of red wine for what my wife calls ‘depth’. Delicious. The remainder of the vat will have kidney beans, chipotle sauce and chillis added for yet another Mexican feast later in the week. I’ve promised to make something potato dauphinois tomorrow, so I better read up on how to do that.
Last night was corned beef with mustard mash and green beans Saw the mustard mash on one of the cookery shows the other day so thought we would try it out The kids didn't like it but we thought it was tasty enough to have again Tonight I think it's smoked salmon
Tonight we had my Nando's style chicken recipe. I marinated the chunks all day in olive oil, paprika, cumin, turmeric, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper with a dash of lemon. Instead of frying it, I baked in the oven for thirty minutes. Served with salad wrapped in tortillas and potato wedges.
