Tonight was BBQ-marinaded turkey fillets with oven-roasted courgette, red & yellow pepper and red onion in an olive oil herb coating with roasted cherry tomatoes. Followed with rhubarb crumble and custard. Luvvly jubbly...

The good lady made a magnificent shepherds pie for which we ate it at opposite ends of the house but we caved in and ate desserts together in the hallway.
Coffee was negotiated over the kitchen bench with after dinner mints shared in the master bedroom.

We’re handing ourselves in for co-vid 19 testing in the morning.

It'll be drunk with a beef stroganoff. I'm such a heathen.

Great smell of homemade hamburgers under construction wafting through the house, made to a recipe from our Portuguese neighbour (out and about again after a week with what we all know is the virus but no test available) involving a lot of garlic, fresh chilli and coriander.

Sticking to low alcohol tonight as I broke the rules last night, the chicken casserole demanded some Viognier. I seriously overate. Too much food in this lockdown!

Spent most of today gardening, it's never looked so neat and tidy at this time of year before so it's something simple tonight, a Melton Mowbray pork pie, hard boiled egg, mini potatoes and a mixed salad followed by banana, blueberries and ice cream...

Uber Major and Lil' Uberette are conspiring to produce fajitas tonight whist Uber Minor frets continuously about a lump that's come up on the back of his hand. It's clearly a bite suffered whilst walking Uber Canine earlier, but he's convinced its something to do with using the PlayStation all day. Given that he's seventeen, hasn't seen his girlfriend in two weeks and has been largely shut in his room all day, he should consider himself lucky not to have hairy palms as well.

For the first time since the restrictions kicked in had pizzas delivered, from the excellent Birtelli’s. Vegetarian for the third time so far this week! With a Picpoul de Pinet.

Spicy chicken burger with frozen chips and onion rings with slaw.
Wash down by an Argentinian Malbec from the Beefsteak club. On offer at Morrisons so though I would give it ago. (If alcohol hand lotion works so this will work on my insides :) )
    Happy Easter and stay safe
