Just like it would be quite hard for any referee with a conscience would give away a penalty to that diving bastard stokes. Hes a disgrace - typical irishman. Yous have a cheek to moan about henry
Stokes (maybe) dived = Yellow Card, no game changing decision. No further punishment required or allowed under SFA rules. Aluko dived = Wins a penalty that turns out to be the game decider (game changing decision). He is banned for 2 matches for being a cheat and getting away with it AND winning the game for Rangers. Can someone tell me why these 2 incidents are even being compared?
Stokes attempts to do the same thing as Aluko. We can accept that Aluko cheated the referee and we got on with things. Celtic lose 1-0, first defeat in 3 months and blame the ref. Lennon and Brown have said that if the penalty was given they would have gone on and won the cup. If Stokes hadn't been caught cheating then Celtic would have gained an unfair advantage. Of course it's the refs fault for making the correct decision, and nothing to do with Celtic being unable to score in the previous 92 minutes.
Rangers have had numerous decisions like the Stokes incident go in their favour over the years, mainly in the big games . At no time do their fans show embarrassment through getting these decisions all we get is they are winners .Anyway my Hibs contact has told me Leigh Griffiths head butted the manager and punched Billy Brown after the Hearts defeat and has had his contract cancelled.
So did Ally McCoist accept the fact that Aluko dived and get on with things? Did Rangers accept that it was a decision that changed the game in their favour?
Um, no Dev. He accused the review committee of unfairly picking on his poor wee club - unsurpassed brown brogueness
"I have to say that I am absolutely shocked and extremely angry at the fact this committee has upheld the decision to give Sone a two game ban. "The meeting was chaired by a former referee and I have to say his decision making hasn't improved any since he stopped refereeing." "It seems to me that there are rules for some and rules for others. There is a complete lack of continuity and consistency, you have to look at the previous incident regarding Garry O'Connor, and we do not even know if it was the same individuals on the panel. "We took it on the chin with Steven Naismith at Dunfermline but I can also remember off the top of my head someone having a fly kick at our goalkeeper last season. "I can also remember a goalkeeper having a go at Kyle Lafferty this season and a Motherwell player getting elbowed this season. "Nothing has been done about any of them and O'Connor has obviously been found not guilty. "The other thing I would like to point out is the compliance officer is a thoroughly nice man but he is a lawyer, he comes from a legal background not a football one. "So effectively we've got someone who hasn't played professional football telling me my player is a cheat. "It's staggering, absolutely staggering and to say I'm angry would be a massive understatement." Dignified response indeed.
