I pay for my sports and it's just one big con to make as much money as possible, you pay for Sky Sports (£33.00 pm although I get it for £19.99 via Now TV), then you have to pay for BT (£29.99 pm), then for my club I have to pay for Ifollow that alone for the EFL is tenner a game! Then with the EURO qualifiers they stuck them on Viaplay which is an additional subscription (£14.99 I think), on top of your Prime subscription (£8.99 pm). And now FIFA are crying they are not getting enough cash for the Women's World Cup in July, we just keep getting mugged.
There have been cases in some countries where rights owners have sued individuals who have consumed non authorized streams. Music industry more involved in that sort of thing than tv streamers or criminal investigators. If you have anything to worry about, it won't be the police, it will be the police handing the names to sky and sky suing you. Just like the music industry they'll probably cherry pick.a few names to make an example of and ignore the rest. Of course, nothing is going to chase a potential future customer away like suing them. So they won't sue everyone.
