Does anyone get connection problems?

I have a really irritating problem on this site where I read a thread for a while (at work) and then when I decide to comment and click reply, I get a U/N and P/W request which doesn't accept my details. If I cancel it, all my text disappears and I have to rewrite it!

Is anyone experiencing this or is it me (or my workplace)?

At home im ok... does not time out then , but at work at little as two minutes inactivity on NOT606 then im logged out??

 

I've had a couple of instances where I've typed a response in the Quick Reply box, clicked Post Reply and it says I don't have authoority, I then have to click on Go Advanced type it out again and it's fine.

I guess being a new site (or having a lot of new people using the site) there'll be a few teething problems, I'm sure it will work itself out.

 

Not sure why you are having those type of problems Kate.......I would have thought it would only say you haven't the authority if you haven't logged on. I had a few yesterday that after typing would not post on main site. I was advised to press and hold "control" and press "refresh" (on my computer F5) at same time and it worked. Had to do it on all threads that I read but all OK now. Although had to do it again this morning at start up. I find the site slow sometimes... not sure if that is my end or the sites....any one know?

 

I'm shocked that some of you are on this board whilst at work!

 

That's the beauty of being retired olddellboy.......Not to have to get up to work......mind you as they say ...wouldn't have time to work these day's anyway...

 

Hi beddy, i work for myself, so can pretty much do as i please, plus my job allows me acces to a PC 24/7!! I've got a freind!!!!!!

 

You certainly have.....should never be lonely with your 'puter at your side. Trouble is the missus is trying to persuade me to get laptop to take on trips!!! Just so she can stay in touch with her cronies Mind you as I pointed out to her a lot of our trips is to Aussie so the time difference would create problems. She hasn't come back at me yet, but she will.

 

I can do two things at once ...shock horror ...tell the Daily Fail .... a man can multi task!!

 

Don't for goodness sake tell the Daily fail you can multi task.. it will make headlines. Then they will make up a story about you........

 

This is the message I get:
"Errors
The following errors occurred with your submission
You do not have permission to perform this action. Please refresh the page and login before trying again."

It then asks me to log in, even though I already was.

Kate......Why not have a word with the administrator......PM him he may well help by suggesting a way round the problem. Have to admit to being lucky enough not to experience the problems you are having. Not computer literate enough to suggest how to over come it. As previously stated had a few problems the other day but none since only the occassional slowness is all which of course may be my end.

 

Has anyone else noticed...... the number of posts you make are not changing each day. I think most of my posts yesterday stayed on 42.....today they are 43.......Kate I think yours has stayed on 17..........What have they got against us?

 

the number of my posts have gone up to 44 Yours has stayed at 17 Kate....
Actually this one say's 45.........The other 5 are all on 44

 

Not had the Kate problem. The time seems to go haywire but even though i have my site set on 'show active threads first' it doesn't!

 

Yes I think there is a few teething problems CGO....If you look at my post just above yours then look at the edited bit underneath...then across at the post numbers you will see that all my posts have gone up too on the last count they have all gone to 46. Now when I post this are they all going to go up to 47?
