Yadda yadda, worse bark than their bite. They'll probably accept a fraction of the proper fine and let them off. What's more interesting is this "The QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has vowed to fight any fine imposed by the Football League, which would have to go to charity rather than the other clubs under an agreement with the Premier League over its solidarity payments." I knew they scrapped the idea of distributing fines to FL clubs but I didn't know it was because of an agreement with the premier league. Anyone have any more information on this?
Asked the question back on the Leicester board, how would they go about replacing the spare position in the League then? 4 teams promoted from League 1 to the Championship?
Only two relegated from the Championship, three from League One and one from League Two with three, four and two promoted respectively to replace them. Simples.
Weren't we in breach of FFP rules too? *"The one thing for certain is that most clubs [in the Premier League] will become a Football League club again,” Sounds like a threat to all clubs.
I wasn't sure if it was like commiting a crime and legging it to Spain. Can't touch you, but wait till you come back!
Learn something new every day. With the gap between the rich clubs ( premier league ) and the football league clubs ever widening why not distribute the money recieved in fines to the smaller clubs ?
I seem to remember that the Premier League pushed the football league clubs into accepting some ****ty deal, but I can't remember the details.
We don't know what we did last season, the accounts aren't made public until December, but Ehab's said he hopes to break even this year(we lost £25.5m last year).
Yes I do too, when they threatened to withdraw the pittance that trickles down the ladder out of the premier league to blackmail clubs into voting in favour f the elite player performance plan. But unless I completely missed it I've never heard anything about this about the premier league making the FL scrap the idea about distributing the fines amongst clubs. Surprised more wasn't made of it. Actually I'm not, it has no interest to the majority of football fans in this country (Man U and Liverpool fans).
So it is imperative that QPR don't get relegated. I predict that if QRR are in the bottom three at the end of October, Mr Fernandes will be giving Mr Pulis a call, having told 'Onest 'Arry to get on his bike.
