I've discussed this before, but I cba looking for it. I can't see us bringing in any more than one - if any at all - unless someone is going to leave. Some are talking about bringing 2 in, but that would give us 7 players for 3 places and keeping them all happy is just not feasible imo. There seem to be a lot of rumours that Salah is on his bike, but I've seen nothing more than rumours, so I'll believe it when it happens. I can't see why anyone would want to leave when the club is on the crest of a wave.
it’s a fair point although as coaches go that can make you world class, there are few with a bigger pull than Klopp......I cannot see us buying more than one forward unless someone leaves. 4 into 3 works with Origi and Minamino as back up. City have done 6 into 3 for the last few seasons so why not!?
I think Shaq is leaving and I wouldn’t be surprised if Origi leaves. As Saint mentioned before, bringing in 2 new attackers will significantly impact the minutes of others. Therefore, one attacker probably seems most likely.
I agree, but we regularly rotate in midfield, but are a bit fixed up top. Just as one more quality name to give competition and rotation with the front three and I think klopp will make it work. Shaqiri and Lallana are definitely leaving this summer
Stop living in the past mate, it's a squad game now. Won't be more than one coming in unless someone leaves but none of ther trio needs to leave if it's going to be just the one.
Liverpool are in advanced talks about finalising a deal that would see Timo Werner move to Anfield in the summer.
Except his agent has been badgering Real for the past two seasons to try and get him to there. That might have changed now, given our recent successes and their dip relative to normal, but he was happy to move on. Real is his big dream and always has been.
That's exactly why Mahrez was so unhappy until this season and Sane has wanted out for over a year (shame his injury hit him when it did or he'd have gone to Bayern probably). Not because they're unhappy winning things, but because they want to be first choice. 4 players for 3 spots can work, but any beyond that is just asking for an unsettled squad and that's arguably the biggest part of Liverpool right now; our team spirit.
LIVERPOOL TO TARGET DE BRUYNE? The Sunday Supplement panel debate whether Liverpool could potentially target Kevin De Bruyne following Manchester City’s Champions League can and assess how he could fit into their team
I agree. 4 plus Origi and Minamino/Ox to cover. More than this brings other problems.....reality is Werner is within our reach but Sancho probably not.
Werner perhaps, should we sell Origi and if Minamino is happy being a 5th pick essentially, although you're then asking Mane/Salah/Bobby to accept being rotated more when they're in their prime and winning everything. But there's **** all chance of Sancho. Financially, the package is apparently ludricrous for every team - even City and Barca have removed their interest - so no chance we'd be trying to fund him as a rotation option. He'll stay at Dortmund a while longer.
I have not seen a great deal of Sancho, but when I have seen him play he has not impressed me enough to say he is world class, or even worth anywhere near the money they are talking about.
If Salah goes then both perhaps but Werner seems like the obvious buy given that he is guaranteed playing time due to ACON
