thinking of booking a week there in november, anyone ever been there?i heard gold is well cheap there and worth a third of the price over here which pays for the holiday itself
I hated it. Ye canny get a drink unless yer in a Hotel. So ye spend yer time visiting different Hotels from yer own for dinner an a swally. All the time mobbed by the locals who shouldny be in there drinking. Ye canny walk anywhere. It has to be taxis or buses. Every day I was there I saw a car crash. The ****s canny get to grip with the change from camel to car. However, at sunset by the creek havin a strong coffee in one of the cafes is really special.
If it is only "worth" a third of the price, then you better think a bit more about your business model, would be better if it is worth 3 times the amount.
Spent 2 days in Dubai when I went back and forth from India. Didn't like it, mostly because I didn't know anyone there who could show me around all the naughty bits - instead of drinking in a big shiny hotel and going to a big shiny shopping centre to look at **** I don't want to buy.
We have a family friend who owns a place in Dubai and keeps inviting us over. Can't be arsed, don't see the attraction, If i wanted to see rich ****s swanning around in expensive cars i'd go to London.
