Good day yesterday some brilliant batting from Stokes 135 not out. Currently at Lunch with Hampshire on 171-0
Match Drawn, good first fay at Yorkshire, when did Plunkett learn to bat and Thorp. Richardson where has he come from?
MCC Young Cricketer Michael Richardson has sealed a deal with County Champions Durham. The 22 year old wicket-keeper batsman captained the Young Cricketers in 2009 - his second season at the Home of Cricket - and when he came up against Durham in the Second Eleven Trophy he impressed with 60. Richardson joined the MCC Young Cricketers in 2008 and recorded a highest score of 136 not out at Radlett in the same season.
Were either of you there today? Was playing football down on the astroturf next to the ground today and popped in to watch for a bit and get some food/drink. Bumped into Plunkett too.
Went on Wednesday for a bit the first 3 batsman looked good and Borthwick but the rest were a bit disappointing.
Disappointing day for the lads, need something dramatic to happen tomorrow if we can salvage anything from this game!
Dearly did, think we'll get beat off Warwickshire they are playing well right now. just hope Onions is back for Claydon.
Washysafc - as posted on the 606 site most of the regulars like captaincolly, footman etc now post on CMS and have done for some time; there are a couple of Durham threads, which are much more busy than anything on here. Most of us are not footy fans so there is no other reason to use this site, you might get some of the less regular floating voters from 606...... I've just joined from BBC606. hopefully this place will pick up. I checked out CMS but found it not so user friendly. What a few days it's been for Durham, just need to finish them off. Everyone is raving about Stokes and rightly so. I've heard grumbles for Durham fans and other England fans re: Dernbach ahead of Onions too but believe they have to look at the bigger picture. I don't think they have any intention of playing Derbach. It's just a fact finding mission by the ECB, wanting Flower to have a look. Finn will come in for Anderson, it's his home ground. Better Onions stays with us and gets more overs under his belt, rather than carrying the water bottles around.
