Yeah Dyche to make a surprise appearance!! I agree with everything he says, it seems very funny to be saying that a point against Hull is a bad result. But such are the expectations this season. We have exceeded the expectations of everyone outside of Watford football club as we did last season. The playoff dream is over now, but the important thing has to be getting 9 points from 9 in the last 3 matches to finish as high as we can.
To beat last seasons total of 61 points will be the best thing for a manager in his first job and year to beat the last manager who left for a bigger better club. With a team reduced because of sales and poaching and the removal of nearly all the coaching staff this is a wonderful achievement.
What Ak says... To do as well as he has done, with so much going against him, he has done extremely well to a point where he has raised all of our expectations. Who would have thought we would have been talking abotu play-offs with half a dozen games to go last September? He's now laid the foundations of building a squad, so if he can just bring in that extra bit of quality, there is no reason why we can't push on! Finishing in mid-table, and with our reputation for (most) loanees doing well, I think we look a far more attractive proposition for players to come to than we did last summer!
Indeed. As things have been looking up it could be a more interesting summer in terms of transfers. Let's face it last summer we were more of a sinking ship and now we look like a decent squad ! In the eyes of any potential transfer target we are now definately a more desireable club to join.
what Ak said! The way things are going, i can see us calling this 'the Dyche era'! We're building, progressing, and as has been said, with a little bit more quality, who knows what can happen next season!
Im sure that was probably tongue in cheek and a bit of a joke, but taking it seriously for a mo; I dont think he would leave. He has a long term plan in place to develop and grow the squad and he knows he has no real pressure to succeed other than to improve year on year and he has a crop of players who are playing his way. He also has a new pitch to come as well. The only downside is that he does not have millions to spend on one player, but im sure he wont mind that. He and Ross Wilson have the contacts and the knowledge to pick up quality players on the cheap.
