It's what all the top managers do, I can't believe how lucky we are to have someone of his calibre leading us ....
There's no pleasing some people. Under Peter Taylor (2 successive promotions) it was 'He's too negative, brings back everyone for corners, should have smashed both leagues with the money he was given, signed his mate Junior Lewis' Under Steve Bruce (2 promotions to the PL, one FACF, one Europa League) ' He's too negative, signed his son , messed up the Europe League, he's a dinosaur' Seems no matter how good it gets, some people prefer to see the negative side and screen out the positives..
For all the love and respect and undying admiration I have for Steve Bruce, that is definitely an accusation that can be accurately levelled at him.
You didn't seem to notice the tense that I used. I used the future tense. You are using the past tense. What happened was despite the Allams. It was purely because of Bruce, who, granted, the Allams brought to the club. Bruce was constrained by the Allams and eventually, despite getting promotion, he realised that he could never do well because of them.
He put out weakened teams in every match in the Europa League. You can defend him as much as you want for the Europa League debacle but I dont think anybody will agree with you.
Our fans do seem to dwell on the past instead of what’s going on now , We are not battling with Scarborough to avoid relegation to the conference , so please be appreciative it is not that bad . As little old Hull that is all we can ask and aspire too
You should change your mind if you considered that he deliberately put out weak teams in the Europa League. For example, if he'd put out his best teams against Trenchin the error by McGregor most likely wouldn't have mattered.
At that time our away kit was very similar to their home kit, I've always been convinced McGregor thought he was passing to a City player. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
That's right. Huddlestone missed a penalty. Long even tried to kick the ball into the fans at the end and kicked it right out of the ground by mistake. The McGregor error was against Lokeren.
Where's Curtis Davies, Alex Bruce, Andy Robertson, Ahmed Elmohamady, Nikica Jelavic, Liam Rosenior, Jake Livermore, Tom Huddlestone or Robert Snodgrass? All of them except maybe Bruce and Rosenior would be in the first 11.
