Nothing really to add to that you've said it all except Capello could have brought on another complete team in the second half of "hungry, proud to wear the shirt" players and probably ended up with a better show and more convincing scoreline.
It is only 3 subs you can use, I think Carroll and Defoe should have come on Also I think we should have started Jarvis as he would have done well, I know he would of.
Okay, Plums, I will answer your post as you have laid it out in your post. ***This is only my opinion, so it does not matter a jot*** England did an admirable job, so far as getting a poor result against a very poor Welsh team. They played okay in the first hour against a very poor Welsh team. They did not trouble themselves, and, didn't hammer home the advantages they had. They need to show against any opposition that they are fighting for the honour of the shirt they wear. This was not a friendly this was to qualify for the next stage by winning convincingly against poor opposition, remember, goal difference can count later!!! They are wearing the 3 Lion's and should play like lions not kitten's.
He, maybe should have started with the other team, 'cause IMO, they would have embarrassed the starting 11!!!
That may well be true but Sweden are ****, fair enough we aren't a whole lot better but better we are.
No.2 we may be better on paper, but, we really need to show it on the pitch, for the full 90 minutes!
My 1000th Post people and this is not going to be my first milestone people, You will continue to hear a lot of me people. Spot on mate, I don't think If we played Sweden they should cause us to much of a threat because it is simple, We are better than them
Even tho England out played Wales and got the job done, I still didnt get that exitement and passion as I have done with all the past Teams, even in the Hoddle era I was still passionate about the national team and screamed for Hoddles head, now I,m not bothered if Cappello goes or stays. I think they call it apathy..
The last time I saw an England match where the players showed hunger was the under 21's match I went to at the KC , must have been summer 2008
Our Under 21s always seem to give a good go, not the first team though. We need Hungry young players like Germany have, i don't like Germany, But they have done well with there new generation of players.
Hoadie Boy. I spent some of my younger years in Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester and Brompton. Prey tell, is the Marquis de Lorne still open ?
Did you mate, You mean that pub down Mill Road opposite Black lion (medway park as it is called now) Yeah it is still open I believe, well last time I walked past it 6 weeks ago it was.
