He's scored 140 goals for Spurs. Only three players have got that many for Leicester in your entire history and they're all dead. You'll probably want Vardy out of the England squad by the time the tournament starts, as he'll be looking for a move.
Real Madrid, Barecelona, Juventus, PSG & Bayern Munchen are not possible destinations, those idiots don;t know anything about football, they all need to move to Leicester to learn what a good footballer is, apparently
This is where the whole England thing falls down. One word, Rivalries. Inter club rivalries among fans and players have been England's downfall for years, well **** that. I don't see Chelsea, Spurs Liverpool or Leicester players, I only see England players. So just shut up and unite you ****s.
Vardy lost out in the Golden boot to Harry by one goal during our title season ... but did not start taking penalties until the last quarter of the season ... if he had they would both have one Golden boot at this point ... It's a myth that we purely play on the counter as the last game of the season at yours showed ... and Vardy's finishes in that game speak for themselves ... as did his Premiership goal of the season against West Brom
... we could always have taken Sturridge .... oh but wait ... that ****'s even more of a wimp than Momo ...
I agree if we are holding onto a lead yes, I just find it funny that everyone slates Vardy for being one dimensional and one able to play in a defensive side yet suddenly he’s best as an impact player when that would suggest us looking for a goal throwing everyone forward against a packed defence. Of course he won’t be useful in that situation if he’s a **** as everyone likes to say
Ironic that you would choose that example considering it was a long hopeful ball over the top of slow defenders hey Tiny tears, could you show us where people have 'slated' Vardy?
The game where you had about a third of the possession and scored from set-pieces and counter-attacks?
You are right, it’s just all relative given the respective sides. Personally I think Vardy has done so well to be 4th to 3 world class (or will no doubt be World class) players who play for the 3 teams who create the most chances in the league whilst playing for a side which has been dire for the most part of the season. I just think England are lucky to have 2 strikers who are in such good form over a period of time
The last game of the season is certainly not a good example. Both sides went at each other - badly - the defending was appalling on both sides. Maybe he would have in one season, where was he in the others while Kane was still doing the biz!? Plus Kane’s all round gane is superior too.
Don’t get me wrong, John, I like Vardy, he has a unique talent, but he can look limited when sides sit back and defend. I’m sure England will use him in a certain capacity.
I’d say our side makes him look a lot more limited than he is, it would be interesting to see him for a club who plays differently (looks like we will be trying under Puel) but hope not to unless it is us
We had more shots and more on target ... you had an offside goal and an own goal ... you were at home
