Was very poor to much back passing and like most say boring. No chance against much better teams but at least we can now watch and support England for some of the world cup which gives it more of an interest now.

How does Lingard get in the team as well?! Theres better players at lower positioned teams than him, genuinely don't understand how he plays for Man Utd or England

I'm inclined to agree - although he did make the best pass of the night.

Is there anyone out there who could improve the team? It's pretty slim pickings if you ask me. I keep looking at the lack of creativity in the middle in particular, but who is there? Wilshere remains a talented but frustrating figure, Drinkwater is injured and will rot in Chelsea's reserves when fit...

Yeah true, just shows what little options we have. I would class him as a winger though and although hes rubbish for club whenever Andros Townsend has played for England he turns into some sort of world beater. Just remember Lallana is injured as well and I rate him, hopefully he gets some form before the world cup

It was looking so positive for creative flair players not so long back. Andros-Townsend, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Zaha, Alli, Barkley, Sterling, Wilshere, Lallana..

The only ones to have pushed on and can really offer something are Alli, Wilshere and Sterling. And of those three, Sterling is Jekyll and Hyde, Wilshere is a sicknote as you say and only Alli is reliable.

Yeah, I'd moved on from Lingard in my second paragraph to a different position. On the Lingard front, the other winger options are Townsend, Antonio and Redmond, I guess. Although once Lallana and Welbeck are fit a lot of this discussion goes away.

Really disappointing that Zaha didn't choose to play for England, that's the type of player were missing when it comes to big games. makes something out of nothing

Antonio, now theres a good player. given how hes climbed up the leagues I reckon hed be able to make the step up. can also be played upfront, how many headed goals has he scored over the last few years... that moves me onto the striker postion, when fit, carroll is one of the best target men in the game. id have him in the squad purely for if we needed a goal in the last 15 mins to pump the ball in the box.

Although Zaha is a massive bellend and a diver, I completely agree. He's far more talented than the other names I've mentioned.

It was a mild piss-take and didn’t breach any of the other forum rules.

By it being deleted, it just serves to make you look insecure but partly answers why you want to moderate this forum.

The mods do display a rather left wing authoritarian shut down any opposing view nobody is allowed to disagree with me attitude.

Kim Jong-un wouldn't last long on here but you'd have to have some balls to call him a ****.

Don't point out he is wrong. He will spend post after post refusing to accept it, then shift the goalposts before declaring he is bored with it and then either lock you out off the thread or lock the thread altogether.

Or just don't make political statements, explicit or otherwise. That way one doesn't have to moan all the time about things being deleted.

I'm suprised OLM and others want to moderate to be honest because they just get **** all the time from tarts moaning about 'waaaah my thread about X topic was moved into another thread on the same topic'.

    Why is anyone bothered?

The post I was referring to had no political content at all – it was just gently taking the piss out of OLM. So it was deleted.

If you’re not bothered about your posts being deleted, then why are you bothering posting on here?

Every time someone disagrees, they’re always whining, whingeing or ranting.

I often comment on things I'm not that bothered about, apologies if this bothers you, not that I'm saying you are bothered of course, I'm not a not bothered or bothered botherer.
