    Get over it

In fact didn't you admit you were wrong about something the other day after saying you were never wrong about anything ?

Is it safe to come out yet????

When they showed a picture of Bobby Charlton, some wit shouted out. 'Get your boots on Bobby. You're coming on.'

England for the WC....The Wooden Cup..

I'm glad England qualified , I'm not sure if I should give my opinion on our prospects in 2018 though , PLT might not like it for one

More importantly is the World Cup kick off times

I do like a World Cup when drinking at 6 in the morning is socially acceptable and you can have a few hours in pub watching a game before you go to work (or before you take the rest of the day off to carry on drinking)

I don't think it works that way round for Russia though does it?

My favourite game under those circumstances was the Argentina one in 2002. It didn't kick off mega early but I remember getting into the pub a couple of hours ahead of kickoff. Pub was absolutely rammed and pints where being handed head over head, you'd end up with some other guys change, or none at all, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Second half was electric, with nobody really believing that we'd hold on. Final 10 was tension like I've rarely experienced. Full time and still a full day's drinking ahead of you. Happy days.

When watching England was a joy not a burden.

When it comes to guts, determination and stamina England can beat the rest. All thats lacking is skill and talent.

Drinking at 6am is the norm in Russia football or not.

Lithuania coach Edgaras Jankauskas says the best way for them to deal with Harry Kane is to ‘not let him into the stadium’.

I didn't realise he was the manager. Was a good player at Hearts. Wasn't bad at poker either...
