The crowd capacity at Wembley will be increased to more than 60,000 for the semi-finals and final of Euro 2020, says the UK government. It means the stadium will be at 75% capacity for the games.
Up to 2,000 fans from overseas will be allowed to attend the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium by remaining in strictly controlled bubbles, under a deal set to be agreed between the government and Uefa. The government has already agreed to give exemptions for around 2,500 Uefa guests and VIPs and is now preparing to give the green light to a limited number of fans attending. The arrangement would allow 1,000 fans of each finalist to attend the match without having to quarantine. Instead they would arrive on charter flights, be taken by coaches to the stadium — possibly via a private fan park for refreshments — and then taken straight back to the airport at the end of the match.
