Who said he's encouraging them? Stopping them doing something they feel passionate about may have an even bigger impact on their performance. What if Woke fans objected to the singing of the national anthem and booed it. Would we stop singing the national anthem before games as it was divisive?
I'd prefer it if politics wasn't dragged in to football, but it has been, so there it is, but can posters stick to discussing the topics as they relate to football, rather than individuals or associated issues please. Ta.
And I suppose that if you were in charge you'd implement your architectural facism and completely decimate the jigsaw, biscuit barrel and chocolate box industries. To say nothing of finally killing off Lilliput Lane for good. Shame, Den. Shame.
You're right, my bad. We should have another word for people who are anti anti-racism. Not racists, just racist curious maybe?
It’s pretty straightforward isnt it? Some people boo because they don’t like the BLM political movement which taking the knee has become linked. No one’s booing players because they dont like black people. What else is there to say?
If he thinks his players are about to get booed at Wembley, during a major competition, it's absolutely within his remit to try and prevent it. Well done him for a brilliant letter that will hopefully at least make some idiots think twice.
I think we'll probably see the end of the taking of the knee this summer, I doubt we'll see it in most games next season. But for now the England players have themselves have decided they want to continue for this tournament and that should be respected.
Absolutely. Don't keep doing something in favour of a cause you believe in, because some people don't like you doing it. Pretty much the slogan of every righteous protest movement in history.
Hopefully somewhere along the way we'll get the opportunity to cross swords with our old German foes. Maybe the knee could be taken for the 'Jewish lives matter' movement in a clear message to anti-semites across society?
