    Clyne, Henderson also been decent.

Edit, just seen you've added Clyne.

I'd still go with Dier for his positive contribution. England's best player by a country mile!...

    But, Woy! Dear oh dear....

England's best player yes, but overall we lacked a clinical edge again. First half was good, we looked like scoring. 2nd half we were extremely pedestrian and looked like we'd run out of ideas.

Not sure what Woy could have done differently. He set the team up quite well, they were solid, held possession, created chances. It was down to the players to make the difference, they just couldn't find that killer edge.

Well, we learnt that there's no point playing Vardy in these sort of games. He needs space to run into - there was none.

As good as Clyne was in the first hour, Slovakia closed that avenue reasonably well.

Henderson runs all day, but so do headless chickens!...

No real width, and we couldn't pass our way through them...

Both Vardy and Kane have looked ineffective overall. Rashford deserves a chance given the that the others aren't really cutting it.

Henderson did okay for me, he was involved in most of the play, as was Dier. Clyne was good too.

Henderson does nothing of note. He wouldn't know a cutting ball if it smacked him in the face! As I say, he runs all day, mostly round in circles. And as for his free kicks!...

Clyne was good for an hour, but then Slovakia closed that door up.

Sturridge did nothing, and was back on the half way line most of the time. And there was no space for Vardy to run into. Kane didn't really have enough time to make an impact. But yes, I was surprised Rashford wasn't given a chance.

England needed Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale to be playing for them tonight.

Someone on our board said that all Slovakia needed was Vardy, and they'd be Leicester! <laugh>

Wilshere was shocking. I'd give him 0.5/10 for tonight.

The 0.5 was for him humming the national anthem.

    Here's Woy's take on things!...

    'I'm not frightened of anybody'
England manager Roy Hodgson: "If we had won the game people would say we didn't miss them [the players who were left out] and when we don't they say the team selection is wrong, I am used to that one.

"Finishing second is a disappointment but we are still in the last 16 and who is to say the team we will play will be that much stronger?

"You just don't know, the way we are playing I am not frightened of anybody."

Henderson should not be in France full stop.

Boring team, with nothing upfront that can give a spark of magic

Henderson? ... not sure what game Piskie was watching but just about every pass he made stopped any momentum because it was behind the intended recipient...

Wilshire was woeful ... Clyne did OK but his final ball isn't good... he could have given Vardy a tap in when he shot ...

    Rooney came on and struggled...

Build up way too slow and ponderous..

Sturridge was arguably our most creative player ... Dier best all round performance...

Wilshere started brightly but faded. Not surprising given how little game time he's had. He should be used as sub in this comp.
