I know what you mean, but it's a sign things are getting desperate when people start saying "bring on Andy Carrol". It's like when you can't get the lid off the pickle jar, and someone says "let's get a big ****ing hammer".

think Clyne had the 2nd most assists behind Ivan season before last.
Clyne is good at going forward. Could have bagged a goal against Slovak.
Clyne as good as Walker every bit. Bertrand more stable defender than Rose, less going forward.

Bertrand was woeful against Slovakia. Truly awful!

If you're desperate for a goal, as England were, and what you're doing ain't working!....

.. plus these sensitive European refs would probably blow for every challenge ,,, he's not particularly subtle ... against Slovakia Woy could have pushed Dier up top for the last 15 mins ... he's good in the air and wins it fairly most of the time ... Skirtl would have been forced to mark him ... we certainly didn't need him to be covering the defence as the Slovaks weren't interested in crossing the half way line ...

... he should have squared it ... Vardy had a tap in if he had ... therein lies part of the problem for England ... Payet, Ozil, Candreva and Sissoko for example all looked up to deliver perfect crosses to team mates in their games ... we are like headless chickens when we get into similar positions and cross / pass more in hope than deliberate judgement ...

Well, it's that colossus of world football, Iceland, up next.

I thought there was about 12 people and a lot of polar bears that lived there. Maybe they've found a cunning way of disguising them....

That polar bear from the Betway advert would make quite an imposing holding midfielder.

Eden has sparked Belgium into life yet again.

Finally Wilmots does things right - dropping Fellaini & Making Eden the Skipper in Kompany's absence.
