Quality strike, but if the Swiss defenders had backed off any more they'd have been in the stands. Italy looking hungry for more though.
Personally I think Italy will be knocked out by the first good team they meet. They've looked good against Turkey and Switzerland.
Maybe, but if England were playing like this, we'd all be creaming our pants and walking around all day humming something about football coming home
If the FIFA world rankings were to exactly pan out, the KO stages would read: Belgium v Sweden Italy v Austria France v Wales Croatia v Poland Spain v Ukraine England v Portugal Holland v Germany Switzerland v Denmark Followed by Belgium v Italy France v Croatia Spain v England Germany v Denmark Followed by Belgium v France England v Denmark Followed by Belgium v England
You're first choice CB's have a combined age of over 70! Experienced they may be, but Mbappe would run rings around them. I also don't think they've got enough firepower up front.
I think Tom could well be wrong - this team look really good and I bet, like Italian teams of old, if they have to defend they’ll do it really well. If they win this group, who do they play? I really must get a wall chart!
I think the confidence and the momentum, as well as the experience at the back may get them further than you may think
Really? I mean France might beat them, but I don’t see many others that would. They don’t concede goals.
No idea, Tom, and I can’t be arsed looking. But I’m watching a defensively organised team here, I know that much.
So no one then. Holland in 16th are the best team they have played. I don't doubt they're well organised but they don't have that x factor that other teams have.
Great team spirit seemingly too and no huge egos which is important. 3 conceded in last 19 apparently.
By ‘other teams’, you mean France, right? I mean I think the French are better, but not sure who else you’ve seen that are.
I would also add that Mancini is a very good coach who can organise teams well and adapt to different styles. I think they've got a bit of everything. Certainly a better side than Portugal were last time round. I can't see beyond an Italy/France semi with the winner winning it tbh.
