I see Allme is using his 'parachute / umbrella payment' to obscure the message ...

Well, it is the English and Welsh cricket board so that is two thirds of it. And we have had captains from Scotlanf.

They maybe didn't want to waste an England flag on him?

When I see England playing and I see a Union Jack, the obvious assumption is "ashamed of being English". Might as well take an EU flag and stick your home town on that.

Lots of people at the 1966 World Cup Final were ashamed of being English.

It's not a Union Jack, it's a Red Ensign, so the obvious assumption if you know your flags, is that they're merchant seamen.

It is quite an assumption to assume that Happy knows anything about anything.

So that isn't the Union Jack on the Ensign? In the navy that collection of crosses represent England (with Wales as a token gesture) does it?

    That's me told then.

Baffles me why people deny being English, you don't have to be a racist to be proud of the St Georges Cross.
