Not sure what everyone expects of Moyes and Manchester United this season but for me as long as we don't drop outside the top 3 and preferably still have a chance of the title as we approach the end of the season I'll be happy if we don't win anything. In the cups this season whilst I hope we play our strongest team in them I won't give a **** if we bail out, focus should remain on the league as it has done for so long now. What I wouldn't want to see is scraping fourth place in the final few games of the season, and finishing outside of the top 4 would be a disaster but I can't see that happening at all.
Pretty much agree with what you said. We just need to make a serious run at the title and finish in the top 3. I think we should make a decent run in the cups, but I priority should be the league. On the pitch, I'd like to see the players continue to to gel and play together, I think RVP and Kagawa will have better seasons than they did last season, much better in Kagawa's case. Hopefully Nani and Valencia will step it up, and if they don't, I'd like to see the youngster get a chance to really push them for a place. Slightly off topic, Strootman looked class for Roma yesterday, really surprised we didn't make an offer for him. I'd be extremely surprised if he would have picked AS Roma over us had he been given a choice.
same for me... top3 will be an acceptable start for Moyes, he will need time to build his team, and is always difficult to retain the title
Its going to be very difficult to get in the top 4 this season but you cant complain after losing the greatest manager that has ever been and replacing him with someone who has won nothing...Its a big ask....
He can't be predicting Liverpool, their manager has also won nothing. He also seems to be suggesting City will also finish outside the top four. After all, they have a manager who's won nothing in Europe, and a 12 point disadvantage to overcome. In fact it seems he's predicting the top four will be: Chelsea Arsenal Spurs Everton Good luck with that
Top 3, qualify for CL and possibly a cup would make me content in spite of the change. Would love to win PL and do very well in Europe but I'm not a Liverpool fan.
Well Everton will definitely improve... They have replaced a manager who won NOTHING for ages with an FA Cup winner!
But Martinez also got relegated which means Everton will definitely get relegated. After they've won the FA Cup obviously.
On a more serious note, isn't it ridiculous how some rival fans expect history to repeat itself? Seriously, do you really expect Wenger to again crow about how he has huge transfer funds to spend this season, make a few token bids and then claim that he bought no big name player because "there was no value in the market"? And do you really expect Suarez to commit another atrocity this season, and Liverpool to take his side and try to downplay the indefensible? Surely these are just once-off events and would never be repeated two or three (or 7 times)?!
I would love us to win the FA Cup... If we don't win the league I wouldn't mind seeing Spurs win it how funny would that be
Anything less than 1st is unacceptable. Chavs will try to win a cup, as that's the type of team then are ££££ will give us a run for our money
