Baaaaah. That's cruddy. Would have been good to see if they can move a bit closer to the front there. Makes you wonder if it's a delay because it might not be the boost they're hoping for. Would be a bit of mess to flop in front of the Tifosi.
Which seats are left to resolve now then? I don't think Giovinazzi has been confirmed at Alfa Romeo yet, and technically neither Haas driver has been confirmed but that seems a formality. It's probably the same situation with Stroll and Vettel at Aston Martin. Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine, Williams, Alpha Tauri are all now confirmed. I don't think we're expecting anyone new into F1 then? Has Pourchaire got anything sorted for next year in case he does too well to stay in F2?
Pourchaire could probably do another season in F2. But Piastri is a real talent but looks like he will win it and miss out in F1. We need another team or two
Vettel not formally confirmed at Aston yet. A bit strange. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/v...n-martin-f1-future-expects-news-soon/6663290/
Annoyingly his obnoxious, billionaire bully of a father will turn that team into something pretty competitive in the coming years. We may have to deal with a Stroll win at some point- not looking forward to that day
I think the worst thing about Stroll jnr is that he's actually an ok driver, which makes it hard to mock with any real conviction - despite his dad full on buying a team to get him a drive.
Just watched some highlights of the 2015 Russian GP. I forgot how indescribably poor F1 was in the initial hybrid years- totally power unit dependant and only one team in the race. Dull as dishwater!!
