If it was added as a slot then the LC would become a major competition again and teams would take it seriously, it may well then become worthy of a place but in it's current format it is not. It would be a way of reviving a lot of cup competitions throughout Europe and all these teams who have won trophies could go at it for the big one.

 

Getting rid of the CWC was a **** idea.

The three European competitions all used to be a really big deal. Now it's only the CL that is and it can be won by a team that got nowhere near to being the champions of their domestic league the previous season. It should really go back to being called the European Cup as it's not a league of champions but is a European cup.

 

I agree that the current split CL and Europa isn't great, both should be revamped and lets get cup winners back in there for FA and League Cup and their equivalents throughout Europe it would boost domestic competitions. Yes there is a lot to consider but I feel that it's time for a change again.

 

No chance. Pandora’s box is open. The CL ain’t willingly getting any smaller. More likely they’ll find a way to shoe horn more teams in and have the final in China or Doha.

Sadly this is correct, I'm having a little hissy and not watching Liverpool in the CWC and not watching the Qatar WC because of what's going on out there with migrants being used as slaves. It may well be a small thing to do but I don't want to support this kind of behaviour and I fully believe that the WC should be taken away from Qatar.

 

They're bringing in a 3rd Euro competition soon aren't they? No idea how it's all going to link in though.

 

A lot of fans their board seem to rate the league cup higher than the FA Cup. Can't think why.

Exactly, give the CL place to the FA Cup winners, not some team that bought themselves a fourth losers place. Then if they get knocked out in the FA Cup that will be because they A, fielded a weakened side or B, are a shhite team and fourth place just confirms how shhite - glad to be of help

 

Thing is the PL won’t give the FA one of their CL spots...they are 2 different organisations
