Home to Liverpool if we get past Shrewsbury.

If that’s not enough to get them fired up.

Well, this SHOULD motivate the lads to perform. Who knows, we might even have Niketah in the side by then?
Edit; The possibility of getting to the Prem should have already motivated them. If they suddenly turn it on for the cup then we will know that they have been holding back in the league.

Guy Mowbray seemed to say he was coming to us, during the Arsenal Leeds game last night.

An already tough looking replay just got even tougher with the prize of the Premier League winning Scousers at the end of it.

If we fail to win at the New Meadow and lose a very lucrative 4th Round probably televised pay day into the bargain, then it will serve us right for not doing what we should have done at home when presented with a golden opportunity to progress.

In truth, the replay is another unwanted game with the chance of more injuries, bookings and another excuse for 'tiredness'

Something is flat on the playing side at AG, I blame Junior others disagree.
I think this draw will lift the players and City will have an uplift in league form immediately.

As the draw played out and us and the Gas were still left almost to the end, was I the only one hoping we'd get them at home (assuming we both won our replays, that is)?

I tend to agree, it's LJ and the coaches jobs to lift the team when they're flat, it's where they earn their money, and there is no denying we have been flat of late. Whether we will get the lift until after the Shrewsbury game remains to be seen. It could, of course, get worse if we lost the replay.

I think the cup draw might help save his bacon because results will definitely improve - they're not bad players.
You know where I think the problem is but let's not go down that road again.
Imagine players going in for training today, all they'll be talking about is the Cup Draw, they'll be buzzing.
Every one of them will get a lift and want to be in the team against Liverpool, it's just natural and will try everything to catch LJ's eye.

    Wigan 0 City 3.

RP - does it really matter if we turn it around?
If - and I mean IF - we go on a winning streak, isn’t that a good thing? If LJ - or anyone else - is the manager?
