Here is the updated table after the completion of the quarter finals - the last round which is just based on who wins the tie. After this it moves onto a scoreline based scoring system. In the end it was the tie at Leicester which proved to be the decisive one. Five of us managed to get all 4 ties right and it is tight at the top with me sharing the lead with Chris and the two Marks (ours and him from the BBC) sharing third just 30 points behind. We always have to be aware of Lawro when he is included in these things because he never forgets to tip !​

We now know the line up for the semi Final stage. Our league now moves to a scoreline based system ie. you no longer put in an H or an A but an actual scoreline such as 1-0 etc. For points for this stage are 40 points per match if you tip the right result with the wrong scoreline eg. 2-1 against 3-0. You get 80 points for the right result and score difference eg. 2-1 against 1-0. If you get the scoreline spot on (eg. 2-1 against 2-1) then you get 160 points. Thus making up a maximum of 320 points for the round. What matters is the scoreline after normal playing time (90 mins. + stoppage time) just like for a league match. What then happens in extra time is irrelevant. Games which go into extra time count as draws on here. So a tip of eg. 1-1 would get you full points if that were the scoreline after normal time (0-0 would get you 80 points). Both games are to be played at Wembley on (or around) Saturday the 17th of April - possibly with up to 20,000 fans present.
