So without yet having kicked a ball, we could soon see our route to the quarter finals and, just as importantly, that of our Premier League rivals. Now, before we have the chance of hindsight, what do we feel at this moment? If the draw is favourable, defined as winnable games for us and the big names having to knock one another out, how should the club respond? I'm not sure how I'd feel about watching an empty Wembley even if Prowse is leading the team up to collect the cup. Thoughts, anyone?
We should be going all out for the cup in my opinion, we can beat anyone on our day and this presents a great opportunity. I too would be a bit gutted if we won something without fans present but am confident there will be some by May. Leicester in the final please.
Watching an empty Wembley on telly would be kind of hard to swallow, true. The final’s in May though, right? So you know... Anyway, there are no circumstances on earth in which I wouldn’t want Saints to win the FA Cup.
Good point, well made. ****, I've been talking bollocks again on a Sunday morning. Next thing, I'll be on Andrew Marr.
Shame about lack of fans because the FA cup is probably the one competition where they are totally central to the story. Everyone loves a giant killing act and there is nothing fans love me that a cup shock to add to the mythology. Love seeing non-league and lower level teams causing an upset but also like to seen embarrassment heaped on the "big boys."
Agree completely. Watching Marine v Spurs today without teenagers sat in trees outside the ground won't be the same. I'm also gutted that replays will likely be gone forever now.
Do they have speech bubbles, coming out of pictures of Boris and Trump? (without specifying which orifice either one is spouting from)
Does anyone know if the draw for the 5th round will be done the same way as usual, or if the winners of the 4th round games will be paired off, as in winners of game 1 v winners of game 2? Hopefully the normal format will be observed, unless of course it pairs us up with minnows and the big 6 against each other.
mother than at round three, where 1-44 are alphabetical, it’s always based on the order of the last draw. statistically speaking, other than our alphabetical order, you’d expect lower numbers to be ’more common’ purely on the basis that if you get further there’s only smaller numbers available.
