She's a terrible presenter, can't read and has a gormless expression but I certainly wouldn't kick her out of bed. Phwooooooaaarrr!
I was only reminiscing to one of the grandkids the other week the day we should of won the FA Cup back in 2014 as the world watched the mighty Amber and Black narrowly miss out lifting the hallowed trophy after takIng a 2-0 lead at Wembley Stadium. Fleetwood is it....sigh.
What a ****ing underwhelming draw. Called it. Given that huge list of very low, non-league teams we could have got, why can't just once we have an interesting first round/third round cup tie? Just once? Somebody that isn't in our division or somebody who hasn't just been relegated from our division? Somebody proper **** that we can give a panning to? If it isn't Wigan, it's some other crap draw. **** Fleetwood and **** the FA Cup. Play the U18s and be done with the sodding thing.
I'm just pissed off because we never seem to get an interesting draw. The last one we got was Whitby, or perhaps Morecambe. I mean it's not like I can actually go, but it's always much more fun to play smaller teams and give some youth players a chance than it is to have to grind it out as if it were another league game. We aren't going to get to the final, I highly doubt we'll make it past Fleetwood but if by some miracle of miracles we make it to the final, no, I wouldn't be arsed. I went to the last one, I've done it, I don't need to do it again.
Watching us play Whitby at Scarborough and hearing a young lad with his dad at his first City match say that it was difficult to tell who were the non league team still stays in the memory as how bad we were and how those moaning about the state of City being terrible, a low point etc, were not going back then.
I'm not as well as I was when the last one came around, I've got different, more important responsibilities now and they would take priority so going would probably be off the cards anyway, as are many away days. But such is life. I had a brilliant experience of going the last time, but honestly, I don't need to go through the extraneous travel again, or even go to Wembley again.
I'm not saying Hull City need to go once, I'm saying once was enough for me. I couldn't care less what kind of city Hull is.
