William, no intention to put them down, just the way it was worded by me. Certainly not on a high horse, although once labelled as that, one tends to always been seen like that (you use that expression often with me). A little sensitive if that’s called getting on a high horse.

No problem for me. No angst. Certainly not on a high horse.

I'm not filling this one in. On the last one I asked them not to sell VVD and they clearly didn't read it, or they wouldn't have sold him.

Compared to the NFL at Wembley, the match day experience at any football club (including Portsmouth) is completely terrible. Apart from the football itself, there is nothing else. You'll get a bit of music before the match, a bit of music at half-time... the only entertainment is some kids taking penalties or some random people doing that dizzy penalty thing. Dull as dishwater. Where's the (actual) entertainment? Drumlines, marching bands, dancers, anything! Where's the razzmattaz? Why not have flame cannon all over the place? Why not have fireworks? Why not have flagwavers? Why not have smoke machines? Make football a spectacle, it's too dull at the moment. The only 'excitement' is the hope that they'll play a good song over the tannoy.

Why should the players not come out of the tunnel like this?

If I am to talk about the matchday experience itself, it is well, erm, naff!! Those old enough to have atended the Dell, well remember the marching bands. I feel this would add to the entertainment package on offer. As it is, we have to watch wáter being sprinkled all over the place, or players going through pre-match routines. As for youngsters taking penalties, or having a relay race, that is well past its sell-by date.

The way cricket is going we could have a 20-ball innings fest during the interval.

Jeez Lapras, it must be ****in' desperate football at Pompey if you need all that at half-time . We've just had one of the worst seasons at St Mary's for quite a while and it's never occured to me to say " you know what? I think a flame cannon and a smoke machine might cheer me up a bit".
Unless I'm totally out of touch, I don't think many others do either. It's all about the football for me.

After the season that SFC have had, I suppose us fans want a more stable season instead of all the upheaval of a new manager as well as departing and incoming players.

I know I asked for silly thing like better player purchases etc

But you can see from the survey that this is just to improve the match day experience.

I do really think they could try making some improvements. So people actually feel like they are getting value for the money supporting Southampton.

I remained mostly sensible and said that my main issue was around what the Southampton Way is now. Recent comms suggest a total solution of its original idea but I don’t understand the deviation from it. Also the lack of any information from the owner at this point to indicate where we’re steering.

I couldn’t care less about ‘concourse atmosphere’ as they put it, nor the selection of food in the stadium. They’re just added extras.

I did let my sensibility down at the end and say that the god awful We Are Southampton song should be ditched and so should the frequency of Kruegerism’s.

Yes, you're right. Football fans are notoriously boring. Maybe because I don't just live a 20 minute walk from Fratton Park, but to me, football is just one part of the overall match day experience, which (football aside) is very much lacking. A football match is not an event, it's just... a routine.

Dead serious. An entrance like that is epic. It shoots adrenile through the system, gets your heart racing, gets you pumped up and ready to scream... When was the last time the players coming out of the tunnel has given you goosebumps? Oh look, they're walking sedately out to Carnivale De Paris or Right Here, Right Now. How exciting. At least Portsmouth have a unique song (Mike Oldfield) that the players come out to...
