What are your most memorable semis? They could have been big or small and finished in glory or being laughed at.

Thinking back, have QPR ever lost a semi? Have you ever lost a semi? I’ve lost loads.

Playoffs, Milk Cup, FA Cup. We’ve not had many semis but we have tended to reach the grand finale.

    Semi.

The most memorable I've attended would be obvious ones........

    England v Portugal in 1966
    Highbury 1982
    Anfield 1986

.......but the best I've ever seen must be the West Germany/France WC semi in 1982. I became a passionate Frenchman that night and was distraught that they lost on penalties, particularly after Schumacher's attempted homicide on Patrick Battiston. What a game though!

Showing my age here but Italy v West Germany was a cracker in 1970 as well.

Ok I'll take the rather obvious bait, but a load of female tennis players, tend to have stunning bodies, face not so much... so usually only a semi

The only semi I can recall Rangers losing was to Villa in the League Cup 1977. At least at first team level.

Of those I was present at, England against Portugal is an obvious choice for me. As is Chesham against Wealdstone in the 1968 FA Amateur Cup played at Fulham. 1982 is also memorable, but it lacked the quality of football that the other two pocessed.

However, my best ever Semi final? Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup 1973 Chesham St Mary's defeating Burnham! This was the equivalent of when Wycombe played Liverpool in the FA Cup semi. But we won & I was brilliant! Shame about the final though!

A blind date I had in the 80's produced an instant semi. :)

I was at Anfield for the milk cup semi (or whatever it was called then) 2-2. What a night that was, we drove home we stopped at a service station and there were 5 coaches of Man U fans. When they found out we knocked Liverpool out they bought all our food and drinks for us.

The semis which I saw live and enjoyed were:

1982 FA Cup: QPR v WBA at Highbury
Was great standing in the North Bank. I still remember the angry Brumie yob that tried to throw a punch at my face as we passed in the street after the match. Luckily he miised! :)

2012 Euro: Germany 1-2 Italy in Waraw
I sat amongst the German fans who could not believe or understand what happened as Balotelli scored two goals in the first 20 minutes.

However, I would add an interesting Quarter Final:
    2008 Euro: Spain v Italy
It was 0-0 after extra time and Spain won 4-2 on penalties, and then went on to win the Cup.
It was interesting as it was the then current 2006 World Champions (Italy) v the 2008 Champions elect (Spain). Quite a few "stars" on the pitch.

I was at Wembley for the Euro 1996 Semi final against Germany and a certain Mr Southgate's missed penalty. My overriding memory of that night was Paul Gascoigne and how outstanding he was, I saw him in a different light that night! That and the long, sad walk back to the station!

Strictly speaking the game against Oldham at Loftus Road which got us to the 3rd division * Play Off Final in Cardiff counts here. What a night. Did anybody leave the ground for 30 minutes after the Final whistle?

    * I can't remember what the League was called in those days so revert back to the simple tried and tested "3rd division" - we all know what means.

I've never encountered an atmosphere like that one!

Furlong's goal & especially the save from Chris Day. It was a good night to be an R!

I'm fairly sure it was known as The Second Division at that time, but it will always be the third division to me.
