Green, hill, Traore? Or maybe SWP or AJ? The whole board will look like I've posted every time if its the latter.
Its Clint Hill! 1 Year deal! Delighted with that - certainly deserves it. Not only what he has done for this club, but the way he has done it is superb - such a model professional and the type of pro's you want around the club to teach the younger players. Who would have thought he would make 150 appearances for us - certainly not me. And to win two player of the year trophies as well. Brilliant news.
Good news. He totally deserved it and he seems to have a hooped heart through and through. Not sure that he plays a lot next season but every match he is gonna play he will put on the full effort on it.
Only 10 years younger! Its a massive worry that 3 CBs will be 35-36 years old next season. Its nice to see a p!ayer being so honest in stating he won't play as much, he's basically admitting he's a back up player now.
Good news, well done Clint. Just having him around the club and the squad will benefit the team. PUBLISHED 14:05 25th June 2014 by @QPRFC QPR defender Clint Hill has signed a new one year deal at Loftus Road Hill, who skippered Rangers to promotion back to the Premier League with victory over Derby County in the Championship Play-Off Final just over a month ago, today (Wednesday) put pen to paper a one year contract extension until the summer of 2015. Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, the popular R’s defender expressed his delight at extending his stay in W12, commenting: “I was always hopeful that I’d get a new deal, so to get it sorted so soon is great. “I’ve enjoyed some great experiences at QPR over the last four years, I’m settled here, and I’m excited about being part of this club for another season.” Hill added: “Every year I always think it will be tough to keep my place in the side, and this season I’ve brought myself round to thinking that I won’t play as much and new players will come in. Maybe I’ll need to take on a different role this season. “The most important thing is the club and how that progresses. I want to take a keen interest in that.” Hill joined QPR in the summer of 2010 as a free agent following his release from Crystal Palace. He has since made 150 appearances in all competitions, winning the Supporters Player of the Year accolades in 2011/12 and 2012/13. Hill admits his success so far with Rangers has only heightened his affection for the club, adding: “It’s frightening to think I’ve played 150 games and been involved in some of the biggest ones of the club’s history. “I’ve surpassed everything I thought I’d ever achieve here and that’s why this club has gripped me so much.” Read more at http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2...qpr-contract-1677494.aspx#cWD2R5e2x66Ztqlw.99
“The most important thing is the club and how that progresses. I want to take a keen interest in that.” Does this hint he may take an interest in the coaching side of things, or is it just me? An even bigger plus if that's the case...
In a world where honesty and endeavour merits reward, Hill deserves this 1 year deal every single time I do think this year should be transitional into a coaching role, similar to Ryan Giggs' final season at Man Utd I hope we give him the Cup games because he shouldn't be anywhere near the Starting 11 in the league.
But should play the cups and be on the bench....he could do a Karl Henry job from the bench So I hope Henry is on his way, with a thank you again
I like Clint, totally deserved....have him as part of the coaching set up as well as back up at CB this coming season..
