Random as feck question I know but is there anywhere me and my lads can sit and have Fish and chips on Sat that wont be too heaving, (I want to make it a quick as pos). My lads love them and I said id give them a treat on Sat before the game.
Croziers on Crozier Street, off Scumcastle Road near where the baths used to be, Tees . . . . made with old fashioned fat, and lovely enough that I'd recommend it It closes at 13:30 mind
Downeys on Marine Walk , is a few minutes from to the Roker Vic. and about 10 mins from the Stadium, the fish and chips are of a high standard, but if its the fish and chips your after Croziers are as Gordon said top notch. I used to be a bit of a fish and chip groupie started out at Detta's in Dundas Street, I wonder if anyone else on here visited that one, and once had six lots of fish and chips from five outlets in the course of one working day, from as far as Spital Tongues to Shiney Row, what a day that was. Enjoy.
Croziers it is then, thanks lads . Ill be a tight b@stard like i always am when I know im eating fish and chips out. I take my own bottle of Tommy Sauce and wrap my own Bread and butter in Cling film .
You should take a big flask, Tees . . . . enough so that you'll look like a right owld git at half-time, too
