Leeds will be without Berardi who limped off the Loftus Road pitch after just 20 minutes on Sunday. Coyle is set to deputise.

Meanwhile Luke Murphy, Jordan Botaka and Souleymane Doukara who all failed to make the squad on Sunday are expected to play some part.

Marco Silvestri is ruled out with a knee complaint.

Pablo Hernandez was also prevented from playing by a delay in securing international clearance from Qatar. It is not known whether clearance has gone through.

Morning Elland and all. So Beradi was injured. Pity, that messes up a few conspiracy theories.

 

Tonight will see a team with a point to prove and no doubt some will have had a severe kicking from GM. I expect an easy win and some flair which was lacking at QPR. No it wont stop the detractors from saying it was only Fleetwood, but results breed confidence.

Morning ... looking forward to this game, it won't be easy at all and will show us the character of this squad ... Coyle needs this game along with a few others who looked scared at QPR, so hopefully Monk doesn't make wholesale changes ... this game has suddenly become very important, with a good win desperately needed to lift the club

shame about Berardi, hopefully he isn't sidelined for too long ... think Mowatt will come back in, and we only play with one holding mid so that we can join up play to the front a lot easier ... Viera and Diagouraga were stuck so deep that they couldn't get us playing forward effectively, with our only avenue into the final third being through Taylor's strong overlaps

Morning Elland, well if there is anything to go by from what we experience here getting things done, Hernandez will get clearance in about 3 weeks.

 

Morning Statue, I would have thought at least half the team will be different. Peacock Farrell, Doukara, Cooper, Denton, Viera all expected to play imo...

you're probably right, but maybe Monk holds back a bit to try and guarantee a win ... hopfully Cooper can get at least 45 mins in, we need him because Bamba is still looking far too shaky

Bamba is a bit of a liability. A decent centre half is urgently needed

I'd love to see a marquee centre back signing. Someone that perhaps is also able to play lb or rb. Nothing against Hernandez, but I would have gone George Graham, and built from the back...

 

I'd play mostly the same team. Drop the worst from QPR (there's a long list).

I don't agree that we can't play two holding players, but midfielders in the modern game seem to think that they can be one dimensional and only focus on either attack or defends. This isn't an excuse imo. Your in midfield, you need to be able to do both regardless of whether you are playing deeper or not. Dave was shocking and I'd drop him. I'd also drop Bamba and grimes. Pretty much go with the same team otherwise although that's harsh on sacko who definitely must be pushing for a starting spot. But I wouldn't want to change the team too much even if it was a bad defeat

 

I think you are being polite Elland, Bamba is an unfit, poor reader of the game of an excuse for a centre half, he is very poor.
In Monks defence to be fair has not had enough time to fully assess the squad he has inherited and the different permutation's of players and formations on the pitch.

You must get the defence right first its no good scoring 4 if you are conceding 5.

 

Very true, especially when it takes you 8 games to score 4 and 45 minutes to concede 5
