Football: Designing the Beautiful Game

I looked in the gift shop...
I neve knew my subuteo set was missing something. All those arguments and tantrums could have been avoided with this.
A subuteo var set....

 

I went to this a few weeks ago. Some interesting things there and we get a couple of mentions.

 

Worth visiting (if already in London) or not really?

 

I'd say not, unless you're in the neighbourhood. It seems designed for the non-football fan, so there's a lot of stuff telling you things you already know, and very little detail on the other stuff. For example, plenty about shirts but mostly just displays, nothing very much about the design process and how that's changed over the years (for example I don't think they mention templates at all, and how clubs in different countries end up with the same designs but different colours). Bit of a disappointment.
