    Hard luck OGS <laugh>

Are we enjoying watching the once Mighty (and insufferably arrogant) Man United fail again? You bet we are <ok> :emoticon-0172-mooni

Nice to see a non-superleague club win a European trophy, as well as Leicester winning the Cup.

Looks like Chelsea's fans are fed up with being mucked about and charged God knows how much to get to the Champion's League Final.
I would imagine if you add up all the costs, you're looking at the thick end of £1,000.

I have no sympathy for that Club, but (joking aside) I can't help having some sympathy for its real fans.
UEFA is pretty useless, even if they are the lesser of two Evils compared to the Super League.

Won't be watching the so-called "Champions League" final, not bovvered who wins it.

A match between the two Clubs who have done more to hurt English Football than anyone else in history.
I wouldn't mind Chelsea winning it, just because I detest them a bit less than City.

It turns my stomach when pundits praise these Clubs for the trophies they have bought - especially Man City.
And of course, both are Super League traitors.

And neither of the two finalists were Champions, so shouldn't be in it if it was a real "Champions' League".

I’m far more interested in the Championship play off final.

not many can begrudge Brentford a place at the top table.

I believe a lot of clubs want them gone, as their scouting is so superior.

They've gone up, nice one. My neighbour is a Brentford S/T holder, I imagine he'll be pissed by now.

I'm watching too many American TV shows.
For about ten seconds I wondered why your neighbour would be annoyed at Brentford going up <doh>

Though I have an old friend who supports Southampton.
He wasn't happy when they won promotion to the Prem because he knew he wouldn't be able to go and watch them much anymore.
He could only really get to Saturday 3pm kick-offs, and he knew Saints would have many fewer of those in the top division.
He gave up buying his ST because of it. Only goes very rarely now.

    Battle of the bulging wads.
Poetic justice though, at a Club where the fans boo the Champion's League anthem (those who bother turning up for CL games).
    Super League anyone? :emoticon-0130-devil

Couldn't be bothered with the Champions League final, although a mate of mine (fellow Charlton fan) pointed out that the fans of those clubs had no say in the Super league fiasco, so probably not right to hold it against them. I think he's right, but Wigan got stuffed by a dodgy takeover, as did Bury, and both clubs got hit hard although their fans had no part in it.

Onwards and downwards. Did Ancelotti's contract run out, because if not, Madrid with their massive debts must have splurged some more money they don't have to bring him in. To be modeerately fair to Barcelona, they have so far announced three signings, all free, from ManCity players whose contract ran out (Lyle Taylor seems to be a bit of a leader in that sort of behaviour). I imagine their wages are still very high, but I live in hope that UEFA come good and throw the three Super league survivors out of the Champions League. It may not go down well in Singapore or Indonesian TV, but I'd rather see Leicester or Real Sociedad play in the Champions than the hateful threesome.

Must admit I've given up trying to work out what Derby County did wrong, and whether anything will be done about it.
Serious fraud has so many grey areas, it's almost impossible to untangle.

I can't deny England have had a massive advantage in this Euro 2020 tournament.
Six games out of seven at Wembley.

It will still be a massive achievement if the lads beat Italy, but this has been - in effect - a home tournament for England.
The restrictions on away fans have also been of huge net benefit to England.

Qatar 2022 will be an altogether stranger experience.
I would like Southgate to show us something more difficult than virtue signalling - and refuse to take the team there.
That would have a massive impact, if we do become European Champions.

    OK, so Black Lives Matter.
But don't Migrant slave workers' lives matter as well?
If the England team fly out to Qatar and take the knee before each game, they'll be showing breathtaking hypocrisy.
