UEFA have postponed all European Club games (Champion's League & Europa League) and all National games (Nation's League) until further notice.
    In other words, indefinitely.

Euro 2020 is still rescheduled for 2021, but no definite proposed dates as far as I know.

The suspension of the Premier League and EFL leagues is now indefinite - OFFICIAL.
There is no fixed resumption date.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52148955

The Authorities are still playing lip service to finishing the 2019-20 season, but that seems very unlikely now
I don't see how medical advice can condone football resuming until there is a COVID19 vaccine.
This will take 12 to 18 months before it is available to all, so we are told.

Even playing behind closed doors requires dozens if not hundreds of support staff gathering at football grounds, and the required medical services.
And are players going to be willing to get stuck in and risk catching the virus from each other?

The PFA has proved once again that it is the most greedy, insufferable organisation that ever existed.

Worse even than mega-wealthy owners like Mike Ashley.

Arguing that millionaire players should still be paid all their wages just because they pay a lot of tax.
Everybody used to pay tax when they had a job.
That excuse could not be used by the millions of modestly paid and low paid workers who have lost their income, or are in danger of losing it.
How much pampering and protection do footballers need?

Absolutely sickening. And it won't be forgotten either.

UEFA have admitted the 2019-20 Champion's League and Europa League may be abandoned if restrictions remain until September.

I don't think the full lockdown will last that long across Europe, but I do anticipate there will still be restrictions on mass gatherings such as football matches.
Behind Closed Doors is an option I suppose.
    But even that depends on two major factors;

    1) Will players be willing to play? (to risk infection)
    2) Can all the support staff & medics be spared? Plus Police to make sure fans don't gather outside football grounds.

I think this is the beginning of the entire abandonment of Season 2019-20.
Within a few weeks I expect similar news to come out regarding our English Leagues.

i think it's now swaying to be easier to cancel the season. saves going up against employment law for every single player, and impacting on next season; and just giving compensation to those clubs who stood to gain promotion.

Jose Mourinho spotted taking a training session in a public park with some of his squad, and NOT observing 2m distancing rules

Come on Jose, don't be a plank <doh>

    People see you and your pampered stars doing this, and what are they going to think;
If it's OK for them, why shouldn't I do the same?

Stop giving frustrated folk a reason to think they can break the rules.
A group training session obviously does not count as essential exercise.

Mourinho is supposed to be an intelligent man.
    And don't Chelsea
    * have a training ground where this kind of irresponsible nonsense could go on in private?

    * Spurs (thanks Elfs)

I'd steer clear of Guardiola if I was him.
The Man City manager just lost his mother to Coronavirus.

"The principle of contractual stability" <laugh>

The ultimate irony, coming from an Agent.
Agents wouldn't recognise a principle if they fell over it.
Agents spend their whole careers encouraging players to welch on the spirit of their contracts.

I agree the 2019-20 season is now over.
And if greedy players and their agents want to cut their own professional throats then let them get on with it.
The big money deals are over. The gravy train has been derailed. They just aren't willing to accept that yet.

Here is the # Players Together statement (screen capped from Twitter)

    Players Together 200409 A.png

I hope they are as generous as they sound.

It's taken long enough to organise this. Games were suspended 5 weeks ago.

I just read on the BBC news website that Leeds legend Norman Hunter, 76, is in hospital with Coronavirus infection.

    Here's hoping he pulls through.

I don't know whether or not there is Coronavirus in Belarus.
I'd have to assume that there is, if only a few cases right now.

I can only conclude that the attitude of their President (that he is not worried about the disease) is just an extreme example of the macho culture that seems to be prevalent in that part of the world.

    Football continues as normal there.
I'm going to take a guess that their FA is being paid a pretty penny by folks who want the right to show Belarus league games in other countries.

If anybody here wants to watch Belarus football online, that is their choice.
Presumably they will be doing that without paying a subscription to anybody.
But somewhere along the line money must be changing hands.

In Belarus they have decided to put their economy and lifestyle ahead of saving lives.
So be it - it's their country.
But personally I consider it morally wrong to be entertained by their sports broadcasts.
I've read that many Belarussian football fans are sensibly boycotting games. Good for them.
Yet the blood of anyone who dies as a result of the football continuing (players, officials, support workers) will be on the hands of anyone who is supporting the matches by paying to broadcast or watch them.

It is regrettable that FIFA or UEFA cannot have this stopped.
I would have thought they could withdraw their match officials, therefore rendering the matches unrecognised and unofficial.
Maybe the President just isn't worried about that either.
