While that may be a little out I am surprised if that really made much impact to the gun man, seems like only 25-40mm out. I would be interested to see other stops from same angle as he is only a couple of inches out. I would be surprised if they hit the exact mark most times. I would have thought the tolerance for 'hitting the marks' was + or - an inch or 2?
As I and others mentioned . Even if he was a bit early , the fact remains the other three gun men got in position .
I find it odd that Toto has started pushing this onto Bottas. Usually great store is put in their loyalty and non-blame culture. I can only think Bottas will be out at the end of the season, he knows it, they know it, and the relationship is breaking down behind closed doors
That’s my take on things . Even going back to the shot post race when Bottas tried to question Toto and Toto cut him off. Can’t remember the race .
Don't think it stops counting until the car has four tyres and back out on track... So I think we're still waiting on the final number.
They did. The car is at an angle though, if the wheel man is right handed he would have found it awkward without changing his position, needing to reach across his body. The port side (not sure there is a nearside on race car) would have had the same challenge but had more space because of the angle, moving sideways and in, not sideways and back. The angle would have had less impact on the rear starboard as the gun man would not have had his space invaded in the same way. I can't see Vallteri was at fault though. This comes down to the pit crew are not practised enough. Toto is at fault because he is not making the pit crew practise enough, practise for the unexpected.
Before this years Monaco GP, when was the last Monaco F1 GP that didn't feature any safety car deployments?
I'll be honest.. I usually purge most of them bar 88, 90, 92 and 96 from memory. How many did we have last year?
