That's the problem mate, some of his statements have been idiotic ...

... the one about people wanting to invest multi millions in him personally ffs.

In football terms he's an absolute nobody tbf.

My guess is that the deal structure allows him to ‘prove himself’ by getting the club promoted and therefore a higher sale price. As opposed to a sale with a bonus if they get promoted later. This has then been spun as an investment in his management whereas it is nothing of the sort.

I think they took the loan because they wanted to keep FFP on board.

SD saw them as excellent people to be involved, let's be honest we did as well.

So even when they changed their mind about buying the club (if they were ever interested in buying the club) he was probably just happy that they were involved in some way.

They hadn’t done. Methven was introduced to them for the first time about six weeks before the news leaked.

Donald reminds me of Michael Knighton, A relatively wealthy person whose ego is big enough to own a big football club. Knighton went for the biggest...Man Utd...and Failed, he simply didn't have enough cash. He ended up at Carlisle, probably where he should have started. Donald managed to get his hands on Sunderland, but in reality he should have stayed with Eastleigh, where his wealth in is line with the league they are in. I fear when ever he leaves Sunderland, his wealth will have took a huge hit.

FPP didn't need 'bringing to the table', they're well aware of English football.

They had previously tried to buy NUFC, know Ellis Short and all three have tellies.

RTG man, it's like open day at a mental hospital <laugh>

"Bob has sent me a PM with more detailed info just for the record and it not a tasty Mexican fish. I’m not saying anything like cos it’s his info and it’s up to him what he shares on here but if it develops as he’s described or similar I’ll tell folk afterwards. He has named a person involved known in football which would probably be the key point. I’ve no idea if it’ll happen or if he was given the right info but it’s a change in direction. That’s the gyst."

The 'gyst' is that Bob said absolutely nowt in any of his posts and now his buddy is saying nowt in his defence.

Seriously, some of these people are deranged.

If someone says once a week that something is going to happen, eventually they will be right...

But actually it is a load of bollocks

The problem with Bob is that he posted a thread specifically to claim something to do with Sunderland would be announced in the Chronicle, on Friday or Saturday.

As football stories tend to be in the paper on a weekend it wouldn't have been too surprising.

Sadly for Bob there was absolutely nothing of any relevance whatsoever, his heart must've sunk.

So he then had to find something that he could claim concerned SAFC and weave it into his story.

In all honesty what he posted was so vague it could've meant anything ...

... in the end it all meant nothing.
