Plus the whole trophy thing is bollocks, Pele never won the PL or the CL so does that make him worse than say Maradona?

but not Lampard who the thread is about with Stevie G. I agree with you on the trophies thing, Batigol was one of the all-time greats as a striker but won very little, for example.

 

That was an example of a player who he is closely compared too

 

I know the thread isn't about that, was just responding to what I thought DayDoDoeDontDayDoe had said. There probably isn't one Chelsea fan who'd rather have Gerrard and one Liverpool fan who'd rather Lampard. As I said, both excellent players and for me they are equal.

 

If you had bothered to read the thread from the beginning you'd have saw that this line of debate has already been done.

This whole Lampard/Gerrard thing is never going to be agreed between Chelsea and Liverpool supporters and every time its came up so have the same old arguments.

 

I had read it, if you notice that none of my comments are slating Gerrard, I was just responding to what I thought had been said. Someone said something about trophies and all I said was that was bollocks.

 

But as long as you agree that this subject has been done to death and is boring thats fine mate.

Thats why me Drogs and Cymrugooner had a long chat on this thread about nothing in particular.

 

I do agree, like I said they are equal players and both sets of fans wouldn't swap them for each other.

Pains me to say it, but Gerrard is streets ahead of Lampard. Frank is a good player but he couldnt carry a team to a champions league final then win it, he isnt of that class

 

Agreed. Though lampard came close in 2008 dominating gerrard in the semi and scoring;and scoring and hitting the post in the final when united were murdering us
